Sankardev Education and Research Foundation (SERF) will hold a National level Literature Festival in Guwahati this September with the goal of re-establishing India as the hub of literature and culture.

The Pragjyotishpur Literature Festival (PLF) will be held in Guwahati at the District Library and the Axom Sahitya Sabha grounds, with the goal of restoring the proud historical past of the North East.

The festival will begin on September 29, 2023, according to the president of the working committee of the Pragjyotishpur Literature Festival, Phanindra Kr. Debchaudhury, and General Secretary Bikram Kalita. It will run through October 1, 2023, with writers, poets, and other literary celebrities from across the country taking part in the four-day literacy festival.

The General Secretary of the Pragjyotishpur Literature Festival also stated that they will be awarding eminent and fresh, promising writers to recognise their contribution to Bharat's literary area. This will inspire prominent writers as well as youthful talent to devote themselves to the field of literature and aid in the discovery of our civilization's foundations.

The subject of the festival is "In Search of Roots," according to Dr. Sudeshna Bhattacharya, Head of the Sanskrit Department at Guwahati University and Secretary of the Sankardev Education and Research Foundation (SERF). She also emphasised the importance of educating the youth about the nation's ancient heritage, culture, and literature, as well as the literature of each region.

Dr. Sarita Sharma, vice president of the organising committee, discusses the themes that will be covered throughout the festival.

The festival would focus on Bharat's history, culture, translation, literature, nature, and cinema. A literary quiz and workshops will also be held to help develop the youthful talents. The organising committee has announced that prominent journalist and vice president of Bharat 24 news station Rubika Liyaquat will be the festival's chief guest.
